THE MARAIS AND HISTORICAL PARIS

From the Zazie Hotel, walk towards the Arsenal dock, between the Seine, and the Canal Saint-Martin, which goes underground from Bastille and back into the open air in its northern part, near République.

  • Ile Saint Louis, Ile de la Cité and Notre-Dame are immediately there, just after the Arsenal Dock, passing over the pedestrian bridge, between the Arsenal Library and the Republican Guard.
  • The banks of the Seine are now limited to pedestrians and bicycles as far as the Tuileries gardens, and even on the Left Bank as far as the Eiffel Tower. The walk on the Right Bank Banks, at sunset, from Ile Saint Louis to Concorde, is breathtaking!
  • Just behind Bastille is Le Marais, for you to endlessly stroll in: Place des Vosges, rue des Francs Bourgeois and the museums in the Hôtels Particuliers (town houses): Carnavalet, Picasso, the National Archives, Cognac Jay, the Museum of Art and History of  Judaïsm, the Hunting Museum
  • Don’t forget the Haut Marais, where, around rue de Bretagne and the Marché des Enfants Rouges (Red Children Market), you will find the most cutting-edge art galleries, designer boutiques and bars.
